DESCRIPTION: American Waltham Watch Co.,Waltham, Mass., model 1908 "Vanguard" with wind indicator, 16 size, 23 jewels, stem wind and lever set, damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, diamond endstone, cut bimetallic balance, gold jewel settings, gold timing screws and Ohlson micrometric regulator in a yellow gold filled, screw back and bezel, reeded edge, engine turned open face case and Montgomery Arabic numeral, triple sunk white enamel dial, blued steel spade and whip hands, serial #19064389, c1915.
CONDITION: CASE: Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Minor scratches on inner surface of case; Crystal with chips. DIAL: Hairlines in enamel, light; Minor scratches. HANDS: Hour with a few spots of oxide. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Fine scratches on winding wheels; Winding wheels with spots of oxide; Gouge at bridge screw; Regulator assembly with a few specks of oxide; A few minor spots; Some screws with scratches and specks of oxide.
